About NYJA
New York Jazz Academy® is a jazz music school dedicated to helping musicians of all ages and experience levels develop their skills, expand their creativity, and connect with a vibrant community of fellow artists. Through lessons, ensembles, workshops, performances, and mentorship, students gain the tools, confidence, and freedom to pursue their unique musical goals.
NYJA® offers programs throughout New York City, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, as well as online learning opportunities for students around the world. By combining the energy of New York’s jazz tradition with personalized instruction and mentorship, NYJA® provides students with direct access to one of the most vibrant musical communities anywhere.
Students at NYJA® study a wide range of instruments and disciplines, including saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, composition, improvisation, and music theory. Our programs welcome musicians of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels, from curious beginners to accomplished performers seeking to deepen their craft.
New York Jazz Academy® provides a complete path for jazz education through private lessons, small ensembles, workshops, online courses, youth programs, adult programs, summer intensives, performance opportunities, and artist mentorship. Our curriculum is designed to help students build strong musical foundations while developing creativity, confidence, and their own unique artistic voice.

Through NYJA® Travel Tours, musicians and jazz enthusiasts explore destinations around the world while experiencing local musical traditions, performing for enthusiastic crowds, participating in educational activities, and building meaningful connections through jazz.
In addition to education, NYJA® provides professional entertainment for concerts, festivals, corporate events, private celebrations, weddings, and community programs. Drawing from our extensive network of world-class musicians, we create memorable live music experiences tailored to each event.
